Need help with drafting my resume for project/ program manager and/ or product manager roles. Feeling rusty. Also need some help drafting my LinkedIn summary. Any suggested sources / examples? I am not being noticed by Amazon, Google, Microsoft yet. Goal is to get to Microsoft.

I’m starting my PhD in environmental engineering and would like to know what jobs there are to apply to after I complete my degree. Is it true that companies are hesitant to hire PhD-degree holders, and if so, what can I do to advocate for myself in job applications?

For folks who’ve done R1/R2 interviews at BCG… how useful did you find the CaseCoach courses? I’m a week out before my R1 and I’m wondering if it’s going to be time we’ll-spent. Would love to hear “ignore this, definitely do that” sorts of advice if possible. (For background: I’m familiar with Victor Cheng, I’m using RocketBlocks, practicing live cases, consumed a bunch of YouTube videos, etc.)

Has anyone here had to give a 90 day plan in an interview? I’m on round 5 now for a field role, and I was informed this will be what the final interview consists of. Panel of 5-6 supposedly. Any tips or advice on what/how to present? How to prepare? Is it kind of like a quarterly business review sort of thing?

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

Follow up etiquette help needed! I am expecting a job offer at firm one next week or so. I am into the final phases at firm two. Would it be appropriate to email my recruiter from firm one that they are my preference but I’m far along in the process at firm two and ask for an update on where I stand (to hopefully get an offer faster)? Thanks!

I have recently given interview at Microsoft.
HR provided the feedback as I am not rejected bit not fit for the role so they have put me in talent plus pool. What should I expect next and does this mean that I may get the offer ?

I was interviewed for a perticular customer, which went well and also received an offer. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. However parent company still hired me and now they're in process of allocating me in some other clients. Sometimes i feel insecure about this situation. How to cope up with such cases?

I’d to get a job in a small architecture firm or work for a developer to help build up my network. For the past 6 years I’ve taught high school architecture and engineering and done real estate on the side. I have an industrial design degree and tremendous construction and real estate sales knowledge. I also started architecture school but stupidly switched to industrial design. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I recently accepted a position at the company and have been working as a temp for the past 3 months. I really enjoy the people I work with and the company seems to really support its employees, however it is in a field that doesnt exactly align with what I would like to be doing. I’m a Senior Project Manager at an engineering consulting firm - I don’t have my PE as of yet and my compensation is $100k + bonus. Just a bit of background, at my firm a Senior PM is someone with 8+ years exp. I have 10 years experience and on track to making Principal in a couple of months. I seriously think I’m on the low end of the salary range as a Senior PM. What’s a typical Senior PM or Principal compensation in your firm?
