There are plenty of stories of people leaving consulting and realizing how boring and un motivated corporate jobs are.
There are stories for both PoV.
Its like a divorce, some celebrate and then go to depression and feel lonely, some say best decision ever.
It all depends on how you felt and why you left. Looks like you are looking for stories that agrees with your POV

I’m open to other POVs. I’m just expressing my thoughts. If someone said no, and explained why, I’m always learning other perspectives.
Honestly, I would also go crazy if I was in a corp job where I did nothing, but I’m working in a technical consulting firm and while there are pressure / deadlines, people are collaborative and pleasant to work with.
I’ve had a very long career and this is what I know for sure: There is no perfect industry, team, or place that works for everyone. Someone else might thrive in a place that doesn't work for you. Everyone has to learn what works for them personally. It's great you are figuring this out for yourself.
Well said
Boutique consultancies are often focused on core and niche areas where they have true expertise. These consultancies also generally have some pre-existing client relationships, either directly or through second order networks resulting in friendlier clients. All of these factors make for a better and less stressful work environment. At these boutiques, you know you’re adding direct value vs. dealing with the stress of keeping up the appearance of value and backing into it.
I know I’m generalizing here, but you can also find these environments in pockets at MBB and Big 4. It’s no different than being part of a specialized team working on something you’ve already done countless of times before. It’s just that these instances are much rarer given the size of MBB and Big-4.
I’m flattered(?) that you think my comprehensive answer, based on my own experience, is AI-generated
Damn i just started at one 3 weeks ago.
Welcome to Deloitte buddy, don’t take it personally when people ghost you on teams, that’s normal here
Please describe your technical skills Mr technical consultant
I have think-cell, and I use the quick access toolbar combined with it for custom bindings (e.g, Alt 1 is left align using native powerpoint, Alt 7 is think-cell’s same width button). But it also helps to know the native powerpoint and excel shortcuts (e.g., Alt H J for cell style).
I’m sure some nerd set up autohotkey to be even faster, but can’t install that on the work laptop.
Pro tip: make sure the quick access toolbar is below the tabs (and not on top), for some reason it’s faster/less buggy that way.
Which boutique OP?
