I eat hours like a starving man at a Las Vegas buffet

like

Probably 10 to 20.

I agree with ey1 usually 15-25% depending on the week. Charging 45 and usually working 52-56 I’d guess. Plus ~ 11 hours of travel a week

What about utilities? Don’t you also need to bump that to at least the firm target?

About 50% on this project. 0% in the other three years of my career

Never

Never eaten an hour in ten years of doing this.

I don’t

EY2 is there not a code to charge for travel?

Travel time is pointless to book

Work 65-80, bill 50

PWC3 - how?!??? Teach me

@D3- manage up and set boundaries. It’s a combination of communication so that if you have to charge extra hours your manager/SM knows why and can explain it as well as setting priorities so you’re not working the extra hours when it’s not necessar

Never. Have a conversation with the person you report to.

I have always just billed what I work, including the two years I was at Deloitte. Only once have I been asked if I could charge less, and my response was, "sure, what scope should I cut?"

Sure buddy. Sure.

True for me to after 10 years. Only been asked to back out hours once and my manager told me to clarify explicitly with my SM, did they mean not to bill for my hours. They can’t say yes or it’s a compliance issue. They said no just to confirm scope week to week and stop work early on Friday if necessary not to go over. Not been an issue since

Do you usually do 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute or 1-hour Peloton classes? Before I got one, I felt like I needed at least an hour to get a good workout. But I’ve found 30- and even 20-minute Peloton classes to be really satisfying and tiring. I am worried though about being lulled into doing less.

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Our company is going through a major transformation and there is quite a bit of resistance due to uncertainty and lots of broken promises. Are there any books you would recommend on how to change corporate culture and help employees adapt to change?
