Anyone on here in the equity research side of things in IB? Is it normal for Analysts/MDs to routinely ghost candidates? I've been interviewing and trying to get into equity research and never get ghosted for roles in other industries/divisions, but seem to constantly get ghosted by hiring managers in ER. It's especially weird since they also don't ever give a yes/no decision on your application and it's usually after you've done extensive writing and/or modeling assignments for them too.

If you’re in the final stages of interviewing with multiple companies at the same time and they inquire about other offers and interviews, should you tell them? Obviously not who the other company is but at least that you’re interviewing / expecting another offer?
