I'm new to marketing and I am not formally educated in it. I have just been learning through experience with the business. I'm leaving Deloitte (consultant - capital markets) for an analyst role in M&A (in house) in a relatively small company. How long should I stay and how hard is it gonna be if I want to join an IB or rejoin a consultancy ?

How long does it takes for you to feel confident on what you are doing at FDD? Essentially I am not trying to stay at FDD forever but want to make sure that I learn all the necessary skills before I go.
