For those of you who switched to decaf, I found a really delicious Ethiopian decaf coffee https://www.gocupper.com/collections/all-coffee/products/decaf-ethiopia-guji I don’t think I’m gonna go back to caffeinated coffee even after I have the baby. Without caffeine in my body I sleep better now and have even better energy ✌️✌️✌️

I do NOT recommend a “adhd coach.” Unlike therapists and psychologists, “coaches” don’t have to have any legitimate credentials.I could make a website right now and call myself and ADHD coach.
I would recommend a therapist/psychologist who specializes in adhd. You can find this through their websites or psychology today.
What was your experience SC1? I really want a coach too but I have so many reservations for all the same reasons you cited. That doesn’t mean good coaches aren’t out there… but I was wondering if you actually had some bad ones and what happened- how’d it turn out?
I’m already a severe people-pleaser. Falling into the hands of a bad coach would be detrimental for me, but finding a gem would change my whole life in the way I’m aiming for. No question. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second if I knew where to go to find my help.
My coach went through this training and has been incredible: https://addca.com/. I've made tons of progress in the past few months
Or an occupational therapist.
I’ve never tried this but so glad you specified! I could really benefit from this but I’d never even hard of it!
You may have just significantly saved my ass!!!
I too would like a coach but cannot afford them or the time lost trying to find a good one. Check out all the resources from CHADD on finding a coach. I do recommend a counselor/behavioral therapy - it’s done wonders for me personally. Also think it’s good to find a doctor your on the same page with about adhd.
Someone also suggested to me checking instagram? 1 of the best ideas I’ve heard. You can get all kinds of adhd counseling/help/coaching/support/nutrition and science etc on there in short little TikTok blurbs that are super helpful without the thousands of dollars price tag. I follow Andrew Huberman of HubermanLabs. He basically breaks down neuroscience to normal people language that is super helpful to know/understand for yourself, that you probably won’t hear from a doctor (and if you did, they wouldn’t explain a bunch of shit) because it will actually help you feel better long term.
And Facebook has some pretty bomb educational/funny support groups.
