Motivation for the week!

This is my first post being a PRO member! :D
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Good luck if you are, but I severely doubt you are going to find a job as good. We work relatively low hours, are very flexible, and do interesting work. Sure you can get paid less at PWC and do boring projects, or work much much harder to make slightly more at MBB.
If you want to take a step back and go into Industry more power to you. That move makes sense for many people unrelated to how the market is doing.
But if you think another consulting firm is going to magically be better you are delusional.

Deflecting criticism by playing the gender assumption card is a bit cheap. Your role is written on your messages
Yes at least in EU

AS2, on colocation: to each their own of course, but at least in the Americas, the sense is that working with teammates at least for a week together (every once in a while), is a positive aspect of the job most people want to have. Getting in-person time with people across offices builds connection, cohesiveness and a greater sense of belonging to the firm at large. I agree I wouldn’t want to do it every single week or even every single project.
In the EU, many are thinking of leaving.
And opportunities are good - all other firms are recruiting for TMT. Besides us.
At least I know plenty people who were approached and are speaking to: OW, Alix, ADL, etc. + some MBBs
Not only consulting is recruiting - PE and corporates also reach out… There are options
What kind of exits are you looking for?

Well, it’s consulting, so I suspect many naturally would be (especially those seeking to go into industry and want to leave consulting in general). Churn at our firm has been low due to market conditions and I’d expect it to come back to more “natural” levels as opportunities come back (especially in the US). Actually, I suspect it’s the same story at many, if not all, firms these days.
