Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.

Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. It’s not changing in the last several years and it’s impacting our relationship. Anyone have experience with their SO dealing with untreated anxiety? I have received my first offer letter which they wanted me to accept by e- signing it and after i did that theh have sent out form 11 and other documents to be filled in 2 days.
I have never filled form 11 and other personal details untill 1 week before my joining date.

My joining date would be after my notice period which is usually 2 months.
Should I share the person details and form 11 they asked for now itself?
Will it be a problem if i don't wish to join the company later

Is there a church that is popular with people in advertising?

Anybody have a Christian therapist they recommend? I’d like to start going. Chicago or virtual option. My insurance doesn’t cover it and don’t have a high salary so can’t be super $$$

The thing prayed for became a praise report that’s now back 2 a prayer request. God help me! Grateful for the shift but don’t yet feel I’m walking in my calling. How 2 remain steadfast in the journey?

Today, I was looking through other bowls and see comments like: “Anyone tired of chasing money?” “Is it just me or as I get older do you realize how little awards and accolades mean?” And I’m reminded of how grateful I am to have my hope in something other than my work. I hope my coworkers see that in me, too. That I work hard but advertising is not what fulfills me.

Do you guys volunteer as creatives at your church? I feel like that’s work and the last thing I wanna do as a volunteer. Give me anything else. How do you guys feel about this?

It has been hard to find a church in NYC where your friends with kids around 12yo are not moving to somewhere else.

Just wanted to share a verse that calls us to be redeemers in our workplace. That our faith is not separate from our work.

I’m a first generation professional and have been in this industry for only a few years. Anyone have an suggestions for dealing with discouragement and burnout? It’s been challenging trying to maintain career optimism and figure out my career with little guidance while also trying to be an encouragement to burnt out colleagues when I’m already feeling weary.

Any advice to AE starting at new agency with OCD/controlling supervisor close in age? I leave feeling defeated and in a competition rather than on a team.
