Are there any computer science PHDs in the bowl? I’d love to hear how your transition to industry went and whether the PHD is worth it these days. My friend finished hers in chemistry recently and is having a tough time making the transition because of the delay in building industry experience. It feels unfair. I know my PHD TAs in CS have landed in big tech working on some of the most complex algorithms running our lives (like Google maps).

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. My main argument to choose blockchain is the easy entry with little experience and high salary, I plan on growing my skills during the bear market and get a job once the market recovers.
