After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

I would encourage you to be cautious about taking too much stock in people's individual experiences. I've had terrible experiences at companies where my friends have had fantastic experiences, and vice versa. So much of it depends on your location, your position, your manager…
After 12 years in the industry and 5 at Morgan Stanley, and a bunch of years at another big firm before.. It's a mix of what you make it and and understanding the limitations.
Don't get bogged down, if you're not shooting up. Be ready to move out, they don't care if you've been doing the same good work for 2 or 10 years. If you're not on the radar don't wait to be. For every story of janitor or burger flipper to CEO there are the corpse of tens of thousands who didn't. Don't get distracted by that nonsense.
You don't owe your mega corporate employer anything. Anything. They don't get the benefit of the doubt, they don't get free labor, none of that shit matters if your not on the track, and if your not on that track you know, if you're not sure, you're not.
What I'm saying is.. Make the opportunities happen, don't wait for them to come at a big firm. Thousands of other folks are waiting too.

Culture can be so team-specific that overall “culture” may not be the best indicator. That being said, I had a lot of coworkers that went to Amazon and regretted it.

I’ve learned it’s less about the company and more about the team culture you will be working with. Best to take a chance on any company and then listen to the vibes the hiring manager gives off
No. Not to say I’ve never had a bad experience, but it will vary so much in a big company. My bad experience was somebody else's dream come true job. Know what your priorities and goals are and make sure you can meet them there.

Thanks! You don’t have to comment if you don’t have advice to give! It’s okay to scroll past them every now and then :) appreciate that though
Get in, get 90 days, smile, work, be productive and easy to work with, be ready to jump at any time
There is going to be an ex-employee from every company ever that has had a negative experience. Pay attention to Glassdoor reviews, google reviews, etc. learn to discern what’s honest and what is just disgruntled employees. Invest time in learning about the company culture and if a larger enough firm, google them. Read the latest news articles. You’ll learn a lot about company’s doing your own research.
