There are more German speakers than French speakers in Europe, BUT German speakers tend to speak much better English than French speakers.
This translates to many more French companies who operate in French and who would expect to be served by a French-speaking consultant, so I would say more opportunities for French-speaking consultants, since consulting in German-speaking countries could more ostensibly be done in English.
I’ve never worked at a German company, though, so this is purely hypothetical to me…
Whilst this makes sense, C1 is right. Job offers in Germany+Austria+German speaking Switzerland often do require German proficiency and these countries have higher count of job offers than France or French speaking Switzerland. These countries also pay significantly more than the ones in France
Go with German. Manager 1 is correct, but German speaking countries pay significantly more (Austria, Zurich, Germany)
Overall German. Germans expect good German, unlike French people that expect native level.
