Hey all! I went through the interviewing process with a company and we had a verbal agreement on X amount of salary per year. They liked me and extended an offer but the offer was for $15K less than what we agreed bc that’s what HR approved for. I was desperate so I took it. Accepting this offer meant that I had to relocate to the other side of the country. Omw that was 2500 miles, I received a call that they rescinded the offer. Is there anything legal that I can do to sue them?

Grassroots Education Marketing: has anybody done contract work with this company? I apparently just got hired but I need to make sure they are on the level. Can anyone help?

I am a mid level and have received an offer from a regional big law firm in a non-market paying location. I believe the firm would be a great fit and the location is where I want to be. The biggest issue is money. I’d be lateraling from full cravath in a major market and the initial offer I received is a bit off that (read: 50% salary reduction). While the market is cheaper in some respects, housing is not. How far can I expect this firm to go to in terms of compensation? Any negotiation tips?

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal? Hmm... our clients just paused ads on Teen Vogue due to homophobic tweets by the outlet's new editor-in-chief, Alexi McCammond.

I see recruiters encouraging Women, POC, and LGBTQIA to apply. How does one show they identify as the third?

Is anyone doing virtual volunteer work? If so, where? I don’t have much time but the time I do have I want to spend meaningfully!

Let’s not have pride this year that is all about rainbow colors. Remember those who have lost their lives during the AIDS crisis, and the years they were ignored by the government and couldn’t get healthcare to save their lives. Same as what is happening today - those who are not privileged don’t have equal resources, or even access to healthcare. That’s why equality should matter for everyone. It’s not just a party, it’s to show that we’re still here and we will not give up.
