Rising Star
I think the only thing that will cause it to shift is if more people of color, especially women of color, get into decision making positions on these marketing and advertising teams to drive conversations toward changing the landscape.
Agree except for the gender part - I think men of color would have an equally strong voice for driving change.
Interesting question. I feel like we will start to see a lot of creativity once generations start to come into the workforce and pave their own paths. The core of advertising and marketing will always have some similarities, but believe we are in for a lot of changes here in 10 years.
Oh thank gawd. That means this election is really a change for the future 🇺🇸🥺. I’m so proud of us if we really are able to pull this off.
It means no more identity politics in marketing and brands will be held more accountable for not being authentic in their brand messaging. Companies will have a generation of diverse personalities and cultures to fill their seats with.
With the rise of content creation as well, I totally see companies choosing to hire people that are similar to their customer base as well. Companies will be forced to understand and learn communities in a different way cause everybody mixed! And communities can spot inauthenticity a mile away!
Community over Color 💕💕
