Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

When I want to have the talk about raises, I make my list of everything I am doing and contributing, and present that. I also like to see what other places are paying for their roles and responsibilities, so I’m up to date on numbers.
Awesome advice thanks for your feedback
You should definitely ask for a pay increase. It's not fair that you're doing the same work for less pay. Please report back and let us know how it goes when you ask! I'm always excited to see women advocate for themselves in the workplace.
I’m sorry for the toxicity you experienced.😞 what the other person said is right about doing research to see market value. I would add that the best way to get that pay rate is to start applying for a new job especially if you have been there a few years.
If you think the value you provide isn't compensated fairly, then yes set up a meeting with your supervisor. It doesn't matter if you're male/female, what matter here is your value and what you bring to the company. It sounds like you're a great, well-rounded employee that can be trusted even if management isn't there. That's what I would highlight in your conversation vs the gender pay gap.
I think it’s totally fair to have the conversation to see what flexibility there is. That sounds unfair
It’s very unfair
Yes you should definitely ask about the pay gap and ask from an increase
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it
