I did consulting before my MBA and trust me, you’re not missing much. I know it sucks right now but hear me out:
Went to business school in Chicago, had friends doing consulting recruiting, and they had the same thing happen. I remember it sucked for them for a few weeks, but honestly the ones who didn’t do MBB or (another consulting firm) ended up doing something way cooler. Plus for many of those friends that had a cool industry jobs (manufacturing, start-up, PE-backed CXO, etc), they ended getting reached out to by someone from MBB firm reached back out after a year and they DECLINE the interview because they realized their comp was better and that MBB is not actually that cool.
Most of my friends a couple years out either have left MBB for a job they could have gotten with out it (e.g. corporate strategy at a heavy equipment manufacturer) or seriously want to leave
To keep it short, people with non-business experience just have to hustle more: get a in-term internship, spend more time talking with those in industry, look for corporate training programs I.e. P&G rotational programs, find other smaller boutique consulting firms who are willing to take a chance.
It’s easy to get in the mindset that because you’re at a top MBA, you are “owed” a high paying job, but you have to remember that you still need to hustle.
Also don’t worry so much about prestige and think more about the skills you’re getting and comp.

Gotta cast a wide net. The ones I know who didn’t do well all put their eggs in one basket with MBB and did not cast a net wide enough.

Do you have other interviews? Few people in my class interned at a t2 and did ft at mbb. You can also do internal strategy and then pivot during ft recruitment
Relax. Many people from my program got MBB through full time recruiting.

Keep your head up. This was me this time last year, struck out on my MBB interviews and considered dropping out because I was making $180k pre-MBA.
It gets better. I ended up finding a good group at EYP and got a return offer. You have another at bat for FT recruiting if you really want MBB but what I found is that the rejection forced me to look at other options and I found opportunities that are much more compelling (startups, T2 consulting)
Yes you can say it remains to be seen if my decision will be better than the MBB route long term, but I grew a lot through the process
I struck out MBB , turned down T2, don’t regret it. You have to do what’s best for you.
