In my experience they attract dramatically different types of people. You’re usually one or the other.

I’ve lived in both. Totally agree with the recommendation to visit both for a week+

Dallas -
Cons: cowboys and cowboys fans
Pros: None, too many cons

Austin:
Cons: still has cowboys fans
Pros: not as many as in Dallas

Austin's full. Move to Dallas.

I was responding to the comment above saying Austin was “full”. Clearly it is not, given the amount of empty apartments in the city. From an infrastructure standpoint perhaps it is, I’m specifically talking about housing.

Dallas is the home of the $30,000 millionaire 😂

Dallas - more jobs, larger city, more shopping, established city, families, can find cheap housing in suburbs like Plano and frisco
Austin - more nature, relaxed vibe, progressive and modern, young professional city, big fitness/health focus, more trendy, small intimate city, can get anywhere you need within 30 min

Due to major construction project that started on a primary thoroughfare, I would rethink the 30 min especially if traveling north / south for work.

I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

PwC India Hi folks,

I graduated with Master studies in business at Singapore, and recently moved to India. I am currently looking for a consultant role in strategy functions at big4 in India. Here in India, most of the roles in MC & strategy advisory fills through referrals and campus recruitment, and not posting on the websites. I’d like to connect with people at big4 strategy functions for referrals and to know more about the firms operations

Thanks!

My partner and I bought our home back in 2020. We got a good deal, low rate. But we want to move into a more spacious SFH. However, as we all know this market is crazy. Everything we want costs $620k+ and bc of rates it makes our mortgage estimates $3500+. We are currently paying $2k. And it looks we need to sell the house simultaneously as look for a new one or our contingency isn’t as attractive. I know it’s based on personal circumstances. But what would you do? - not move, sell and buy?
