Recruiting was one of my first HR functions, and I really enjoyed it. I was an internal recruiter, and it gave me exposure to relationship management with hiring managers and external recruiters, workforce planning, and compensation.
I moved from TA into more holistic Talent and Org Development, because I found my interests are more aligned with the projects in this arena.
TA is a great career for someone who thrives in fast-paced, process-driven work. While I was successful, it was not a natural fit for me. I work better on long-term initiatives that need lots of planning and execution.

What is org development? Like succession planning or talent management ?
