That chewing gum stays in your stomach for seven years if you swallow it. Who even came up with that and why?
Something that is shared around is that human beings only use 10% of their brains. This is not true - humans use all of their brains. This myth may have originated from the fact that only a small amount of the brain is used for conscious thought.
That Earth is the only planet with liquid water on its surface. This is not true, as there are many planets and moons in our solar system with liquid water on or beneath their surfaces.
The idea that you can't swim for an hour after eating. This is not true - in fact, there is no evidence to suggest that swimming after eating is any more dangerous than swimming at any other time.
Considering covid is still around, i'd say the claim that vaccines cause autism, which has been debunked by scientific research. It's important to be skeptical of any "science facts" that you hear, and to do your own research before accepting them as true.
That eating carrots improve your eyesight. If you don't know the origin of the myth, look it up. It's pretty amusing.
