BCG folks, what does it mean if you get an email from recruiting saying that they like your profile but are unable to offer an interview at this time but encourage you to apply for another role in 90 days. Should I take this as an encouragement to apply? For context, I spoke with the hiring partner for an expert role in his practice before applying and he encouraged me to apply. I'm at a loss on how to proceed. Any advice would be appreciated

I am being offered 17lpa fixed + 1.7lpa variable by Mckinsey Bangalore and 14.5lpa fixed + 1.5lpa Joining bonus by Deutsche Telekom WFH.

Both are offering me a SDE 1 position.

I want to know the better company keeping in mind WLB, Perks and Benefits, Culture, also with the thought that in the future I want to pursue an MBA in the future.

I have a CD that gets extremely flustered when you ask them for their opinion on a solution. For example after showing them multiple color pallets and CD not quite liking any of them (real Goldie locks moment) i suggested why not we do (fill in three colors here), the CD freezes up and gets annoyed because they don’t want to say yes or no without seeing it in front of them. When calculating YOE, if you are working 2 jobs, can you double count those years? For reference, I’ve been an Army Reserves officer for the last 5 years since coming off active duty, and spend about 30-40 hours per month (outside of 2-4 week annual training) on that job. So it’s not like driving Uber, it’s a high stress/very involved job. Technically I have 7 years Active Army + 5 years D + 5 Years reserves if I count them. Don’t know if there’s any practical reason just curious peoples opinion
