M&A Hours Check. What’s your year end target looking like? Think about 80 percent of the firm’s group is not going to hit hours. Not sure how sustainable this is. Definitely have great leadership that are swallowing the brunt of it, but I’m curious if any survivors of 08 ever had a really bad hours year and still survived. Obviously M&A takes the brunt during these times, but are firms thinking that they want to be poised for when things return back to normal or are they about to let the ball go

I am constantly worried this life I’ve built will be taken away from me in an instant. That I’ll lose my job and never get hired again then lose my house. As soon as I was responsible for more than myself, this feeling of impending doom has followed me. I don’t know if it was growing up poor, getting into the industry later than most or what, but this worry keeps me debilitatingly risk averse. I tend to be more comfortable over performing in my role. I haven’t asked for a promotion in 6 years...

I'd like to start by talking a little bit about what I believe the mindset of a successful recruiter should look like.
A question for recruiters with knowledge of Applicant Track Systems (ATS). Do products like Greenhouse show if an applicant has applied at other companies? I imagine not, as it would be a massive privacy violation if that was the case.
Are there any tech or DEI related networking groups that anyone utilizes or finds helpful when sourcing?
Is anyone willing to share what they are making in their role and how big of an organization they are working for? I'm wondering if my compensation is fair.

When I am sourcing, I tend to find candidates who are a great fit but then wouldn’t work for 1 reason or another. for example. 3 months into their current role so the likely hood of wanting to move is low. What tools do you use to make a note of these otherwise perfect candidates? Do you have a spreadsheet? Do you use LinkedIn projects? Just keen to know best practices! Please share away 😊
I’ve recently left my job (unhappy with it) and am applying for new work. I have a few irons in the fire at the moment. I’m curious about a trend I am seeing: I like to think I’ve well documented my abilities and functions in my CV, as well as my portfolio. I’ve noticed that for some of these jobs that I can check every single box in the job description, I won’t even get an interview. I’m wondering if many of these jobs are posted for internal hires, but some stay open for weeks. What gives?
