So I just recently got into dating after a break up 3 months ago. I joined some dating apps and have been getting quite a few matches. I’ve never dated anyone like to a point of going on traditional dates. Basically, I have no clue what to do on a date once i have one planned. Like I’ve been on a few and it’s been just talking but I guess I have no clue what to do after. What’s the company that pays the most to UX Designers?

How much, on average, should a UX designer make as a mid-level and as a senior in Canada?
Then how much does a UX team lead or manager make?

I am product designer with a fair amount of experience (6yrs).

Recently was interviewed for a Sr. role in Booking but unfortunately the team finds me better suited as a core individual contributor.

I am also in the advanced stages of some lead designer positions in other companies.

However I am really interested in joining the team at Booking, especially because of the design culture.

What should be my reasons to accept or not accept the offer from booking?

Wondering everyone’s take on password-protecting your UX portfolios? I have some case studies from a previous B2B startup I worked at. Although the work isn’t under an NDA, I’m wondering if it’d appear more professional if there were a password. Alternatively, any advice on how much detail to show on a case study in situations like this?

My current title is the latter and I’m interviewing for a Principal role. The title suggests it’s more senior and would appear to be a promotion on my resume but the jd sounds similar to what I’m already doing. I’m currently and IC, Principal is also IC. I thought that was my job as the ux designer to figure out the best way to solve a need. But I’m getting handed projects where the PO, and sometimes the senior designer has laid out exactly what should happen (components used, flow, etc) to design a feature. It’s really frustrating because I don’t know if I’m supposed to be speaking up on what I think or just do the UI work I’m asked to.

Hiya! I am in the final round of interviews at an EdTech platform for a role that is the bridge between the Customer Support and UX/Product Design teams. I act as that bridge in my current role but on a more informal basis because it is a smaller company.

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?
