I actually think this could be a whole separate class for students of all ages. Learning about conflict resolution, growing your own self-regulation skills...it's really important.

How common are credit checks for roles in accounting or finance positions? Will high utilization on credit card balances and low credit score be a deal breaker? I’ve been irresponsible and made mistakes, but wondering if I can switch jobs now or if I’m best off waiting 1-2 years and cleaning up my credit first.

I’m an Environmental Protection Specialist and make pretty good money for what I do. I just feel like I have more to offer than being a worker bee in a system at 25. I work with a lot of retirees and would love to return in my latter professional years. I have my Bachelors in Applied Coastal Environmental Science and want to expand my options. And I just have rejected a job, because I don't believe in the business idea. I don't think it's gonna work and don't want to take a part in it. I also don't want to waste time arguing with the company manager...

I am product designer with a fair amount of experience (6yrs).

Recently was interviewed for a Sr. role in Booking but unfortunately the team finds me better suited as a core individual contributor.

I am also in the advanced stages of some lead designer positions in other companies.

However I am really interested in joining the team at Booking, especially because of the design culture.

What should be my reasons to accept or not accept the offer from booking?

Any recommendations on good online courses for someone looking to explore Ux design? I am a service designer looking to learn more about ux design to broaden my design experience. I am looking for courses that help you build a portfolio and eventually land a job in product and experience design. I am checking out product design courses at dribble, Brian station and careerfoundry but haven’t found more independent reviews or comparisons.

I have a $1,400 annual learning stipend, and looking for ideas on ways to spend it. Any suggestions on coding classes, digital subscriptions, conferences, etc? How have you spent your learning stipend in the past, or what are you planning to spend it on?

Designers, what is your relationship like with your PM and Design Manager? How do you typically work together?

I’m doing my first UX portfolio on Wix. I have the case studies content drafted out, but I’m struggling with brainstorming wireframes/actual UI for my case studies. I make it a rule to look for dribbble/behance for inspo but only sketch when im not looking at things because I don’t want to copy directly.

I’ve tried using paper/thin markers highlighters, tried using procreate, and also illustrator/photoshop & a tablet. I keep running into issues where I feel overwhelmed. How do I simplify this?
