That's pretty wild! I assume nobody got hurt, which is a good thing. It's crazy how there can be a thin line between a wild story and a major tragedy. Anyway, I guess the teen thief will be legal age by the time he gets his next brew.
As a former corporate convenience store manager for many years please tell your staff not to pursue beer (or any) thieves. They could have been shot with life threatening injuries or killed all in the name of beer. Everyone wants to be a hero with a story but it may not have a good ending next time.

That's nut nuts...never chase anybody. I used to let a homeless person sleep on the chair by the pharmacy after they closed when I worked overnights. He was a good man. Left by time they opened. Only let him bc it was freezing outside.
I'm glad everyone is ok but it is nothing but dumb luck that it worked out the way it did. Does your company have a policy for these situations? If they don't, they should, and it should be "your life is worth more than whatever a thief can make off with". That is absolutely terrifying.
