I just spent a week looking for a place to live since we're moving to San Antonio next month... we liked the Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, shearer hills, Shavano Park and Uptown/McAllister Park Area. These areas had good restaurants, things to do or are within 15-20minutes of a ton of things. The stone oak area and areas to the west were just too far from things in our opinion.
All of those areas that you’ve listed are older areas but well-established. And they used to be expensive so I don’t think they’re going to be any less expensive these days. But from an area if you want to walk or bike, I wouldn’t ever bike in the city, things are close enough that you can do that.
To live? To drink? To do something else?
I agree with Alamo heights. THat really is the best plave for a family.
