Probably depends on requirements, but I like the wireless outside ring cameras with solar panels. My installation is a place where wiring would be difficult. I also like the cloud storage, siren, light. I place them 20 ft from my house pointed at my house. So I can see anyone or any critters in my yard. I also get notifications. So far I’ve only caught a raccoon. I have the inside alarm as well for when I’m out of town. My wife has a panic button next to her side of the bed.

I’m happy with ring. I have the doorbell and two other camera including one with a light. I power the cameras with the ring solar panels. I like that you can coordinate cameras. For example if my driveway camera detects motion, my doorbell camera will also start recording.
Same here but I never got around to getting the solar panels. The outdoor batteries would like for 3+ months before needing a quick recharge.
I like Vivant's product. But their customer service leaves much to be desired.

I am happy with ring. We have a ring doorbell camera and floodlight cameras at our primary home and our two rental homes.
Aren't wifi cameras susceptible to drops and are dependent on internet? Any experiences that made you think wifi wasn't the best option?
Ring offers the yearly subscription (which I highly recommend) - takes care of situation where the device runs on battery backup in case of no internet and also a virtual manual monitoring wherein siren starts if someone breaks in. Costs about $240/year

We have a generator at our rental homes so it’s fortunately never been much of an issue for us.
Have had nothing but good experience with Eufy cams and their door locks. Some questionable privacy things but it’s at rental properties so not a concern (for me at least).
Have Blink cameras and service but they are terrible. They are in Wi-Fi. Doesn’t pick up enough movement and clips show up in the app days after being recorded

My hardwired cameras are giving me issues so I put up blink cameras outdoor and indoor and have no issues! The outdoor ones are all just pushing 60’ away from my house too.
