Meh. It was a good buy at $40, but given the ludicrous bourbon market these days you buy what it's demanding. Solid pour, but should no way be in the allocated bottle category.

From my perspective, no. I paid $60 (not much off your price) and it wasn’t worth that. But I’ve heard they vary greatly since they are single barrels. Maybe you got an excellent one.

Around here Secondary is $60-$65. Last bottle I bought was like $31.

On e every few years I can find it around me for about $55

I loved it when it was $35

But I would probably still buy it at $70 if I saw it on the shelf. The extra little bit I think is a bit of a gaff but it’s worth it to have a bottle on hand and not search.

Great bottle usually (I say usually because it is a single barrel and so there is variability from one batch to the next). However, I’d say it is great for less than $50. It was only $32 two years ago and I bought a bottle for $38 less than a year ago. But that is just the way the market is going. It is hard to accept this is now a $60+ bottle but you’ll have to taste it and decide for yourself if it is worth the price.

Sweet nose, but then a hit of savory spice on the tongue with an insanely long finish that is all cigar.

I wouldn’t drink this with a cigar, because you wouldn’t notice it, but it’s insane how much that finish lingers and mimics the mouth tingle after smoking a cigar.
