Go back , work there, pay the bills , pay taxes and live a “non vacation “ life. Then start contemplating
Keep us posted on your thought process. There are quite a few of us struggling with that decision
I went back. Its simple, if you belong there you’ll do just fine. I am doing great, also making more money after i’ve settled down. Not everyone will make more money but you could have a better quality of life
Gt1 - share real numbers. How much you made in the US, how much you make now and where are you settled.
My husband, now 37, is a result of parents who came to the US had huge success in business and then moved back. He was born in LA and moved to India when he was 4. Came back to US for school when he was 17 & has been here since. His two older sisters found their way back to the US as well, one through school and another through marriage. The family enjoys traveling back and forth. I will say as a first gen married to someone like this, I see the siblings make decisions/fall into mistakes that my parents generation did as immigrants, & I see him wish that his parents were also in the US as well just for proximity and them understanding what he goes thru..
So long story less long, might be easy now for you to move back, but your kids may run back to the US as soon as they get the chance so the growing pains you’re experiencing now might just get pushed down a generation
