Camera on or camera off? Which do you prefer?
I’ve been told that I need to do a better job of having my camera on. My thoughts are it’s a time and place thing. If I’m speaking or presenting, sure. But just to be on the call with the camera on? Why? It almost feels like a micro aggression now. How did we ever get through decades of using the phone to talk to someone without video lol

I am done with my client interview and it went well but they are asking me to come to gugaon location.
I am from Bangalore location.
I directly said to client that I can't since I have my family here.
When I inform this to my manager he is saying how come u say like this to client.according to kpmg policy u need to travel to anywhere to work.
This is not good right. What should be my reply to the client in such a case and how to handle manager on this?

I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late.
