Bain & Company Moving to strategy consulting!
Looking for recommendations for how I can transition back to consulting and mainly MBB.
Background:
10 yoe with healthcare consulting with Strategy& in APAC, Middle East and Australia on varied health insurance consultations working as a director leading data science teams.
Feel like I am losing my MC mojo and want to get some years of experience in MBB McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group
Is there a way without cutting back on pay?
I have a fair amount of retail experience and have created a bowl to help fellow consultants who are interviewing in retail and CPG. My experience is across a wide range of topics (primarily non technical) and would love to help folks get their dream job. Would be awesome if others can join and contribute their knowledge.

Ah dude I’d delete the parenthesis, not trying to be mean but people are going to have a field day with that.
The answer is investment banking experience, a heavy understanding of quant languages and being proficient in analysis, and or an MBA from one of the leading programs. And maybe… just maybe experience in PEG/PEPI consulting.
I’ve interviewed with a few well known funds and these folk are on a different level.

Quantitative ability and the speed at which they process things with a very high degree of accuracy was the thing that caught me the most. Being able to quickly pick up abstract concepts and have an understanding, or at least a framework to process. Also they have a very different way of approaching things & asking questions. It’s also just type A personalities to the max.
Hard to explain via message but I’ve interviewed at Goldman, Peak 6, Google, and some others, and the interviewers at the shops I interviewed at were sharper than the rest.
Post your Robinhood account statements on LinkedIn and tag all the hedge funds you want to join.
This is the best advice from the thread, thank you 🙏.
Hey! I’m sure you’re good and everything but the « I have experience with value investing from above market return in personal account » sounds a bit like « I land a B737 without crashing on Microsoft Flight Simulator and consider transitioning to FT pilot »
Lol 😂
I would start writing investment memos and develop a relationship with different family offices
Thanks for the input!
