Without a promotion I’ve gotten at most $15k with an internal raise. I would say 70-90k would be the fair pay scale for a senior in Chicago.
Snr Assoc salary in Chicago is definitely not $70-90k. That is Supe territory. Not saying don’t shoot for the stars, but want you to be armed with accurate info. I’m in a rush running to a meeting, but happy to weigh in later on regarding negotiation tactics or tips.
What has your salary progression been so far? $55k after 3 years seems pretty low.
At the end of the day to you may need to jump ship but it's worth it to discuss comp with your manager and HR contact. You may need a market adjustment.
The percent gains might be “normal” but you started from a very low base for 2020 entry level.
$55k for Sr Associate is right in the salary band for that experience in Chicago. Agree with above, raises are usually $5-10k without a promo.
Hey there Media Planner/Strategist based out of New York.
Recently Publicis here bumped up all Associates to 50K flat. I was making that when I first joined in September. Moved to Horizon to make 65K as a Planner/Strat.
When I made that move I had 5 months experience. I'm not sure how much the NY and Chicago market differs but I think you could definitely make more with 3 years experience. For reference I'm interviewing for more jobs and with 1 YOE and am getting traction for supervisor roles 85k to 100k).
Also which Sub Agency are u a part of? Starcom? Zenith? Etc.
SA remote (NYC office) pays $60-$65K. I just did a parallel title move and now making $70K. But it depends on the agency tbh.
