Reach out yourself. The agency in question may not be open to paying recruiter fee. Once they reach out on your behalf the agency technically is obligated to go through them for any future opps

Yeah avoid going through a recruiter as much as possible. If they own the relationship with the agency they have to pay the recruiter and you can miss out on opportunities if they’re not willing to pay.

The headhunter/recruiter has a contract with the agency that covers ALL roles, not just the ones they’ve submitted you for. The contract typically lasts one year, so no matter what jobs you might want to apply for during that year, the headhunter owns the relationship and is owed a fee if you get hired
