I honestly think people rarely leave for the work. It's usually the management, or rather, mismanagement. It sucks because it's so completely avoidable if they would just treat us with fairness and dignity.

It’s always mostly the managers. This is why I left my last role after over a decade. My new manager was terrible.

You’re absolutely right—burnout is real, and treating people like machines instead of humans is exactly why turnover is so high. Demanding loyalty while showing zero compassion just pushes good employees and good managers out the door. It’s exhausting to watch, and you’re not wrong for being fed up with it.

100% correct.
Burn out is absolutely real. I experienced it in my last job and it really took a toll on my mental health. I am so much happier now that I have a job that doesn't make me get to that point.

Most people quit due to bad managers. It really is too bad because like you said, it’s preventable.

I have seen both sides of this. I have seen managers not care if people are burnt out and expect them to show up 100% everyday. But I’ve also seen employees lie and take advantage and call out sick when they absolutely aren’t, and complain when the work isn’t remotely close to burning them out, demanding more money for bare minimum work. Managers can be the cause, but employees have to take accountability for their actions.
