I got a job offer at a startup and their offer is OK, but i’d like to negotiate because as BIPOC women, we know to never take the first offer without negotiation. Current Offer: $140k base, 10% bonus, no signing, no stock, no matching retirement, and decent benefit package (vision/dental/wfh budget, etc.) -> offered TC: $154K. I just received an offer that’s $6,000 short of what I want to be making as well no signing bonus. Is this something I should even bring up to HR? If so how can I do that without ruining my chances at this job.

3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.
