1. For being a consultant, even as an introvert, you'll be good at what you do if that's where your interests truly are.
2. One of the most important things is to tailor your communication according to your audience. As an introvert you might be inclined to communicate in a way that other people may not understand since the thought processes is different. But you probably have this handled already.
3. Socialization is necessary anywhere you go. You will need to step a bit outside of your natural comfort zone. There's no other way around it. Consider it as a learning or may be even as part of your evolution in general. Pushing your comfort zone slowly and gradually is a good thing usually.
It's totally fine but consultant role does require communicating with multiple people across the organization. I can't speak on behalf of an introvert but stepping out of comfort zone once in a while is always a confidence booster be it anyone always helps is some other way.
