I know there have been lots of posts on Herman Miller Aeron, etc. but any recommendations for an office chair that will be comfortable for long work days but not be an eyesore in the middle of my apartment? Is anyone hiring an internal audit manager with 7 YOE in industry they can refer me to? In public now. business process and IT Audit experience mostly in SOX but also operational audits, Department reviews, and some DRP work in every industry except media/entertainment and government.

So I’m probably thinking too much. But I’m looking to leave public accounting and have an opportunity with internal audit. I want to make sure where I go I have good opportunities to advance and if needed be marketable to other companies. Do you think internal audit makes you more or less marketable to other opportunities in the future?

Would it be difficult to get a job in IA if most of my experience has been auditing private non-404 asset mgmt funds? I really enjoy process walkthroughs when I have them though. Also, does title matter that much in IA? I’m a manager now, but based on job descriptions it looks like I might have to go for a senior auditor role because audit manager roles generally call for 8+ years from what I’m seeing. Can title be negotiated?

What sampling methodology do you use and what’s the source? I’m part of a new internal audit department for a recent ipo company and we need to create a sampling methodology from scratch

I recently made the switch to a fully remote Sr IA role. As a new hire, my manager asked me to come up with some measurable and quantifiable performance goals for the next 6 months, as well as a stretch goal. Does anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate the help.
