Have an opportunity to go to another firm but I know one of the associates personally and our relationship is rocky because we both went through the same medical issue and things haven’t turned out well for her. I don’t want to make it a totally uncomfortable environment for her and I’m not totally sold on making this move anyway. Do I just pass it up and avoid years of awkwardness?

My hips are at 38.5-39.5 inches which is a medium (size 6 or 8) but then my waist comes in at like 33-34 which is an XL or even XXL according to most size charts. Any advice on how I can bring down my waist size? I've been calorie counting and working out, lost ten pounds but my waist size is the same and it's really annoying
