Crazy what a difference two years of sobriety makes. Life is so much better when you stop relying on substances to cope with stress or get enjoyment out of life. For any attorneys struggling with alcohol or substances, I encourage you to seek help. Our addiction rates as a profession are a real problem. But it can get better.

Congratulations!

What are some ways in which life is so much better without substances? I find that focusing on everything you gain from sobriety really puts things in perspective.

Hi Fishes,

I got an offer from PwC. The joining date that I had agreed from my side was 2 June. But I don't know that even in probation the NP is 90 days (it was mentioned in the release doc as 1 month but I didn't take that screenshot as proof). I told the whole issue to my recruiter and she sent a confirmation mail stating that she will revise my joining date by 90 days without issue. Is there any chance they can revoke the offer? I have put down my papers already.

Hi fishes,

I have the following 2 offers..

Cognizant- 21L fixed and 1.5L variable
PWC - 22L fixed

This is for a guidewire role.
Which is a better offer? What would be a good option for growth wrt role, salary etc.
Also, PWC claims to offer variable based on their fixed CTC based on the ratings.. is this true ? How much is the avg percentage given?

Thanks in advance!
