My comp at 5yoe was $191k base with a 20% bonus. Now I’m going into my 7th year at $225k base with a 25% bonus. I’m in house and work 9-5 most days for reference.
I’m interested in this as well! I have 5 years of experience in government (3 in immigration and 2 in civil litigation) but am interested in pivoting to in house or a transactional role now. I’m willing to take a pay cut and be considered a lower year based on experience but not sure what that would be.

I have 5 years experience in estate planning and related other areas and my comp this past year will be about 160k. I work in a small firm in MCOL area. That being said, you shouldn't expect to make what other 5th years are making in that area. You're basically a 1st year.

Do you know what they pay first years?
I’m at 5. 275 base, around 150 in equity

Hey product counsels are you estate planning attorneys as OP has asked?
Chief
OP is clearly asking for compensation of commercial real estate or estate planning attorneys... smdh. You're also an attorney, read the whole post, not just the first line.
15yoe in estate planning and estate admin, but the first 7 were wasted. I'm probably at about 150k total comp and 25% of my originations, but have no book so that is of little benefit to me. If you can find big law openings in T&E, you can usually fit in around the upper 100s (as someone else said you are essentially a first year), but a true 5yoe I've seen in low 200s.
