Is Nagarro good to join? I have a fully remote opportunity which I'm pretty sure I can crack. Is the pay and benefits good at Nagarro? Do they provide laptop and test devices or will I have to work on my laptop? Do they give medical insurance etc? What if the project gets over. Do they have enough projects or will I be asked to move to a different technology? Will I be fired if on bench? Nagarro
Belly rubs please

I don't engage but you can't help what you overhear. I look at quite a few people differently.
No Latino group so i’ll vent here, was walking around my floor a few days ago and overheard a few PPEDs making fun of Illegal Immigrants then someone said “Latino Illegal Immigrants” and made me feel very uncomfortable and remembered that I will always be a minority. It’s nuts how you can feel so out of place in a firm that claims to be “building a better working world”
I am a proud conservative. Have friends all across the spectrum, ranging from far right to left. You learn to appreciate the commonalities and how we all want the same thing: prosperity and happiness at the end of the day.
Deloitte that doesn’t address the OP. How you do you handle the conservative views of your colleagues being. Person of Color?
I avoid all racial subjects when it comes to general conversation at work i.e. kneeling during the anthem and Trump. I have my few people who I talk to at work about these subjects but that’s only bc I’ve known them since college and they are also minorities
I don't talk about it. I try to focus on local school sports and College rivalries with co-workers. When the political climate comes into my thoughts, I use personal outlets to vent with my close-friends only. I would be lying to you if I said it hasn't affected me at times at work though.
I'm at the other end of the spectrum - any time the politics creep their way in to conversation, I make it a huge deal and really try to put people on the spot. I'm well known at my firm, and I don't do it in a "you're wrong" way, but I enjoy challenging people to think about how their opinions and views affect ME, because they know me. It's a lot easier to have impact in my circle of influence than to talk about big issues and how they affect POC. When I tell a colleague "what you said just impacted ME in this negative way" so really great discussions come from it. Then we get back to work because we all understand that there's mutual respect for opinions.
It kinda does: Focusing on commonalities to bridge potential differences of opinion. Or, since he's also conservative, sharing the same opinion.
For me, I just don't talk about it. I run far from every engaging in that type of discussion.
I actually love these convos and I preach at work when necessary. Had to school a coworker on the black panthers and Malcolm X one day to help them understand how neither were terrorists. Had to explain white privilege too, so they understood the little things they may not otherwise notice. If we don't teach then people will think the ignorant things they're taught. But only have these convos in environments that allow somewhat open convos.
I don’t talk about it at work and I feel like my teams don’t talk about it (around me at least)
I tread carefully. Most co-workers are intelligent, so I use that to my advantage.
If I hear someone say, "I'd never disrespect the flag!" I ask, "Can you think of any reason that you'd ever be so disappointed in this country, that you would lose respect for the flag?" Most will admit that there are. Then I say, "So it's less about the flag, and more about where the limit is?"
I usually hear at this point, "okay fine, but we're nowhere close to the point where I wouldn't stand!"
I usually leave it here. I've snuffed an easy brush-off and hopefully given the person something to think about. If I had more courage I'd say "What if agents of the country we're executing members of your race unjustly?"
I engage with some, don't with others. Have come to find a lot of like minded individuals because of putting myself out there (white and other minorities). As not a lot will disagree, my guess is that they just keep it to themselves or within their circle.
