Currently an M and a recruiter reached out for a Sr D position at a company with 4K employees. Am I psyching myself out or should I prepare like it’s any other interview? Even if I excel, am I setting myself up for failure with such a large progression?

Question: I am on an AE Hiring process. the HR said the salary range is 60k to 70k plus commissions and bonus. I told them, I am looking for 80k, considering my current salary and experience. I'm about to start being a manager of a new temp to hire employee, and to be honest, I'm terrified I will either be a pushover or be over demanding due to how deadline driven the proposal writing process is and lack of the ability to say no to some people who bring the proposals to me to write. Do you have any advice on how to start learning to manage others? I currently mentor a few new grads to help them learn the basics of how to work in different sectors as a professional.
