What’s helped me a bit is making a little ritual out of it: I play calming music, use deep breathing before and after, and remind myself why I’m doing this. Sometimes I even talk myself through each step out loud. It doesn’t make the fear disappear, but it helps me feel a bit more in control. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way.
I got through it with a ritual: iced my butt for 10 minutes, played relaxing music, hugged a teddy bear (I am not joking), hubs did the injection, got bandaged, I stood up and prepared heating pad, had breakfast and ate a few chocolate covered almonds as a treat. It became something to look forward to. I hope you have strength and positive days ahead!
