Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.

The Pre-check/Clear combination is worth it, from my experience, if you’re traveling through a lot of airports where pre-check is popular. Essentially gets you to the front of the pre-check line, which seem to be getting longer and longer every year
Right! So many people have pre-check (rightfully so) now that sometimes I question why I don’t have clear yet.
It’s a little embarrassing to cut the line but it’s so fast
Saying that I paid and did a background check and you can too, makes me feel less awkward. I like to help.
You can get it as one of your annual gifts with Delta medallion statuses (not sure the minimum status but you definitely can with diamond)
Depending on the airport it can be a big difference maker. Some airports don’t have it if they are smaller. Overall, definitely worth it IMO
Clear will basically allow you to cut to the front of the pre-Check line. It really depends on how much you value skipping that 5-15 min wait in line.
Amex Plat cards now have a Clear credit, United and Delta offer discounted memberships, and they have a student discount as well.
I have Clear and it was a massive life saver flying out of SLC this year. The regular line was the longest I’ve ever seen. Pre-check was equally insane. I was in and processed through Clear in 10 minutes. Totally worth it in my opinion!
Definitely worth it if you fly a lot
Rising Star
I have not found Clear to be of much value. Also check whether there are Clear lines in the terminal for the airline you’re often flying. In many airports (BOS, DFW, LGA) the Clear lines are only usable if you’re flying Delta or United
I missed a flight once because I didn’t have clear (I also have pre-check), and from that moment I got Clear and am SO much happier I did. Faster through security so I can enjoy my pre-flight cocktail with less rush. 🍸
Pre pandemic, I always used it at DCA and when you’re rushing to catch that 6:45 flight, every minute counts. If the line is backed up with the K9 sniffs, it’s easily 20+ minutes for TSA Pre. Clear is never more than 4 min.
And plus you don't have to take your id or passport out to show anyone
110% worth it. Saves so much time and stress.
