It’s pretty simple OP.
Cuomo said the risk of death outweighs economic hardship.
It’s unfortunate that it has to be spelled out because it’s something the conservatives don’t understand. Human life apparently only important in matters of abortions.

The pressure should be on the government to help people out with money and other benefits. Not on the pressure to open businesses.
Like what you think is going to happen? They open the businesses and then what, people are going to flock to them? No! Most sensible will not go into a restaurant or any other business.

Trump focused his entire February on Dow Jones instead of Mary Jones. Lesson to learn is that leaders should focus on right Joneses. We would not be in his hole if Trump had 1/10th of a bird brain.
You see running a government based on gut feeling is not a smart thing to do. May be that is how he ran his businesses too.

Human life will also be lost if the economy crashes as a result of restrictions and lockdowns across the country. It’s already bad enough that we’ve lost so many lives due to coronavirus, but we need to make sure that we don’t let our fear of the virus and the unknown cause us to strangle ourselves.

They will be lost because of the economic crash because the GOP has systematically gutted and drawn back all of the social safety nets put in place for such a catastrophe.
Now we not only have to accept people dying because Trump failed to act quickly, but we need to be OK dying because people will also die due to Republican’s policies not being able to help those most vulnerable?
