Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?
Anyone have any good audit jokes or one liners?

thought this was mid-year bonus which is never guaranteed. learn the facts my brother
Fiscal mid-year. Calender year-end.
OP really out here stirring the pot today
What a nice comeback, OP. Haha. But I guess some might follow.
We have a June year-end, and all of us got decent bonuses in August. Dec was our mid-year and always contingent on performance.
So they will only go to the top execs? Such BS
I believe EYs yearend is in the summer. What they cut was the mid year raises which a lot of firms did the past few years to retain people and keep up with the market. If cost of labor continues to level off I imagine other firms will do this as well
Ah, that makes more sense and makes me feel a little better....I mean, that sucks for them, but it sounds like it wasn't a normal occurrence to begin with.
So… to rephrase: “EY is operating as normal, which is to be expected. Are any other firms operating normally as well?”
EY is a 6/30 year-end. This were potential midyear extra bonuses that were not earned and therefore not paid. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
I am so tired of the panicky posts on here disconnected from reality. "AM I GOING TO BE FIRED TOMORROW!?!? HELP THERE’s A DEPRESSION!!!" please get a grip. unemployment remains near historic lows.
we’re in the audit bowl pwc4, not the consulting bowl. maybe you came to the wrong place by mistake?
