Lookup solid starts and baby led weaning
Also it may seem messy and inefficient at first but kinda get used to the idea of putting the food in front of baby and having them dictate the pace of the meal and introduce a variety of things
It influences things like their getting used to texture of food, appetite regulation, finger food and fine motor skills (pincer motion with fingers), and the family meal time together becomes a ritual. (We run our evening routine around that now and it makes it all more manageable)
Gradually you’ll phase out feeding with a spoon cuz they learn to become independent and to eat independently but giving them the opportunity and having the patience to work thru it is also key. It’s well worth it in the long run as the grow up to be able to eat independently versus you having to chase after them to eat as they grow older
Also not what you asked but helpful nevertheless if you can spring for it - get a portable wet vaccuum, it was the best thing ever to clean up all the food/spills while we got our son into solids (he’s 3.5 years old now, we started at 6.5 months)
Yes! I used solid starts and it was so helpful. PM me and I can send you a free copy
Started right at 6 months and with multiple food allergies and a busy schedule I created a plan to introduce allergens (top 9 plus other family allergens) on Saturday mornings and other food Wednesday mornings. This is overkill for most people (generally fine to introduce multiple foods at once), but if you have a family history or are nervous this might help. I made everything once and froze in ice cube trays. Once food was confirmed safe, I mixed and matched cubes for variety. We did a mix of purées and baby led weaning from the start and after a couple of months the cubes were gone and we were fully onto baby led weaning. Enjoy!

We just gave baby some of our food at every meal, and used solid starts to know how to cut/portion it!
My baby liked nurture life
Rising Star
101 before one. Also helps with general meal inspiration for the rest of the family 😅
We gave up on the various meal plans for adults.
We used little spoon for purées along with doing baby led weaning (yes I know BLW says don’t do that but really you do what you feel comfortable doing) and now that he’s onto regular solids we get nurture life to supplement meals when he can’t have what we are having.
We love little spoon for our toddler - great options
