Not about Amazon but maybe someone has the answer I’m looking for :) At Meta if you interview for a contract role and get rejected does the 6 month cool off period still apply to you when apply to new jobs? Similarly, if you are employed by a staffing agency at Meta are you barred from interviewing for other roles there? Facebook (Meta)

I'm glad it's not just me who 's seeing this trend. It's like the companies know that we're desperate and now I want us to go back into their buildings even though everyone prefers remote work
Not overnight, this has been in the works for the past year. Once the official pandemic classification ended there was no holding back. Jobs will be hybrid for the next year or two but expect to go into offices.
I know it sucks. I’m remote right now and know it’s only a matter of time before they tell me I have to be on site.

Yes I have some fully remote roles in the pipeline as well. I’m just trying to get through each interview stage. Also have to keep my options open in the climate. 😩😒
I was remote and then they flipped the switch and asked me to come in 2x/week. 90 minute commute each way. Laid off four months ago. The remote jobs are super competitive if the company is reputable, and if not, the benefits are terrible. Lower pay, 50% health insurance, almost no 401k match and no dental. Hybrid seems realistic, but I’m Metro Boston and so many roles are now saying onsite and in city commutes are horrendous.
Yup big companies are slowly but surely getting everyone back in the office. I saw that it was because of tax cuts

Yes I agree. I’ve been low balled after they pushed remote. However when I was hybrid they matched my last full time rate. Remote roles paying well they def are picking the cream of the crop. I also interviewed with another company full time for a year my rate was doubled. However they went with someone who was prominent in Salesforce since that was their main program.

Yes and I saw a few remote roles which paid lower. Some kind of weird punishment lol 😂 the above average rates are highly competitive. Hybrid paying market rates.
I’ve been back in the office since 2021. I was doing a hybrid of morning at-home and office after 11a. CEO wanted me in office 100%. 👎🏼 So, my company is fully 100% in-office for everyone, unless you have special approval. (We are allowed to WFH 50 days per year.)
