Love this mindset! I’m all about consistency too, whether it’s in learning or showing up for personal growth. This year, I’m focusing on improving my time management, especially balancing work and self-care. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, but sticking to a routine has been a game changer! What about you?
Discipline truly is the foundation for success in any area. I’ve always been passionate about cybersecurity because it plays such an important role in protecting people’s data, and that need will only grow in the future.
In the past, coding was my main focus, but losing my job made me drift away from it. I’m now refocusing on my passion for IT and security because it’s exciting to think about how we can protect invisible data. This year, I'm committed to building consistency in my learning and making security my focus. It’s that discipline that will drive me forward.
Absolutely agree! I have a very large multi discipline department I oversee and the trends I will be working on this year is to install 2 things. First being there is more then 1 way to accomplish a task. I'm seeing way to many new comers to IT that think there is only 1 correct method. It has been drilled into their head. I promote to tear down the box and bring possible solutions to problems. The second is to never say, "It's not my job". It might not be and you might not have all the skills and knowledge but if you aren't willing to try, ask for guidance and push yourself, it won't be your job. This benefits them in many ways and also benefits me personally because I can help develop the ones that will be the future and not the seat fillers. I take a lot of pride watching people I have mentored becoming Managers/Principles.

You have to swim with the tide. All your hard work will be nullified if you don't target skills employers want. Research then grind and re-assess often (sunk cost fallacy can hold you back here).
This is great !
