I’d say I’m of average looks but I found a style that works well for me and it got the attention of people in more senior positions. Probably because it was a fairly drastic shift in attire, but got the job done.
When you look good, you feel good.
When you feel good, you look good.
Attractive with a GOOD personality (and act like an actual person and not a robot) *chefs kiss* partner material
All people notice looks and hot privilege is a thing. This is universal.
I'm 48. I notice looks, but I'm nicer to nicer people, period.
Yes
yes this is how donald j trump became president actually
It also helped him to be a very stable genius, he said so himself

Yeah, it’s a thing. They’re perceived as smarter too which is infuriating
What you are saying is not supported by evidence. Better looking people experience a disproportionate amount of success. Part of it is due to the confidence boost which comes from having an easier time making good first impressions.

Charisma. People notice charisma. Looks might or might not be part of that
People respond to feedback, and from a young age attractive people typically get positive feedback and continue to be outgoing and expect certain results. The same applies to an unattractive person they respond to negative feedback and become less inclined to strike up conversation with strangers and step outside there comfort because the brain doesn’t want to experience that negative feedback again
Yep! I saw a study/ Ted talk about what a small percentage of execs are overweight/ obese. It also dived into looks in the workplace, I wish I could remember the name!
Yes. It’s human nature. People may not be conscious of it but they definitely notice.

Are you really asking if older and more powerful people are attracted to looks? Lol.
That said, i pretty firmly believe most people have a style that works for them that people will respond to. Charisma, influence and leadership are things that can be learned and practiced like other skills, IMO.
Yes. Human nature
Yes.
More so than looks though I notice grooming/effort put in to appearance. Ironed garments and clean/shined shoes for example.
In virtual work everyone is almost equally attractive with a clean headshot with a nice smile.
Uhhh.. no
I’d rather have someone fugly who’s smart and makes me look good, rather than a super attractive hottie who causes me more work and makes me look bad due to the quality of work
But that’s not generally the dichotomy people face. The point is that all things being equal, more attractive people have an advantage in how they are perceived.
Yes
The question is a bit funny? Not just old people notice looks, even younger ones. That's pretty normal but really subjective. I don't see your looks as an advantage, I am more on what you can offer and the kind of personality you have.
