What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.
Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?

A couple friends of mine used a “day of coordinator”. Apparently that’s recommended if your venue isn’t very hands on (which most of them aren’t).

Yep, did this too and definitely recommend getting a day of coordinator!
Personally I planned the entire wedding because I really enjoyed it haha but yeah if it's not for you, I'd say get a planner
We’ve used a long-term planner and it was the best decision we could have made. She was extremely expensive but has made this process completely stress free. We felt like she was necessary given my fiancé and I both work high-intensity jobs with long hours and don’t have much time / interest in planning an entire wedding. 10/10 would recommend if you have the funds.
Does she also plan weddings based in Europe? We are both in NYC but having a destination wedding. Would love a referral!!
10/10 would also reccomend a planner. Ours is expensive but worth every penny. As others have said, if you both work and neither one of you is super looking forward to the planning process, it’s well worth it.
10/10 would recommend a planner, the money you spend on them will save you in the long run with all the mistakes you would make doing it yourself!
Month of coordinator! She's $1500 but helps with the final plans/schedules, goes to the walk throughs with me, handles everything day of including set up and tear down, and I can email/text her whenever I need leading up to the wedding for recs.
Yes, lots of people use them (if you can afford to).
I’m having a day of coordinator who is also helping with things like hotel blocks and decoration set up and take down. They provide two people on the wedding day. The all in cost was $850. It’s definitely worth it for me because I’m having a church wedding and then a reception at a location that doesn’t provide a coordinator.
I’m using a day of coordinator (1k) and our budget is 50k for 90 people in philadelphia! She’s been great and very helpful with recommendations for cheap florists and transportation and decor will help us plan out the whole day as well, so I think it’s worth it!
I break out in hives thinking about planning my wedding without a planner
We used a planner and absolutely recommend it. A lot of the DIY plan your entire weddings brides I see online don’t work demanding jobs (not saying it’s not possible but definitely way harder if you’re already working long hours and weekend). If you don’t get a full planner definitely get a month of coordinator because having someone coordinate that month and day so I could enjoy the day and not be wrangling people and managing the timeline was incredibly key. We paid 3900 for full planning in central NJ.
Def get a planner.
Yup. I paid 4600 euro and she is legit planning everything.
How much are people paying for a planner and where?
