Do referrals help if you already got an interview call?

How is the consumer compliance team at Goldman Sachs. Just got an interview with them and wanted to prepare better.

Is it okay to use office laptop for interview? I have a personal laptop but it is being used by my college going younger brother and I don't want to bother him.

My first nursing job interview- I sat underneath an automatic sanitizer dispenser. Got sprayed halfway through my interview LOL Definitely the cleanest thing I've ever been sprayed with!

I recently joined Swiss Re at 30lpa, pretty good manager and work culture. Got a hike of 10% in 3 months without me asking for it. But got an offer from another company which I was interviewing for before joining here and they are offering a base of 45lpa. Now I am unsure how I convey this to my manager coz I want to stay here but at the same time I am salivating over this new offer and wish I get similar numbers here. Is it worth raising a discussion? If yes what would be a subtle way to do so?

I have been working in management at an industry job for 10+ years and I would like to pivot to consulting. Are there any certifications that I should pursue before interviewing? Any other advice is welcome as well.

What do we think about these culture assessments? I don't understand how they get value from You have never wanted to "tell someone off" AGREE or DISAGREE or Would you rather Make Art or Go out to a social setting There has to be some kind of Jedi mind tricks right. I mean who would say I have never in my life wanted to tell someone off. Are they looking for honesty? Any HR people who can tell us what the "grades" look like? Do they need you to be in a range so they can consider hiring?

A warning, i have been phished through the premise of a job interview.thats definitely a new low from scammers but verify interviews they plucked my info from indeed and through that got my info, when I got suspicious (after it was too late) I called the "hiring company" (was a real company) and they said i wasn't the only one getting duped. I can't believe people are praying on people looking for a job during a pandemic but apparently some ppl have no soul. Just wanted to share and be vigilant

Now i have been interviewed and selected for Ameriprise where I would learn on the job and work on workday finance.
No WD certification.

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. Hi all 🙂👋🏻 Apologies for such a late post. I have an offer of 18 CTC(1L joining bonus) from Larsen & Toubro Infotech & 12.5 fixed from IBM .
My joining in both are in around May last week. Tomorrow my IBM pre onboarding HR will connect with me. Should I ask for a counter offer tomorrow itself?
Or should I ask 2 weeks before joining?
Many told me that companies revise CTC when the joining date is near, else they show less interest. So should I go for it now itself?
